Was just thinking about this again over the weekend & last week, and then I look here on Monday & here's a partial answer slightly out of the blue. Really good find Willy! - thanks, appreciated. There are 4 tracks (including the mighty Babylon and Down In The Valley which can also be heard on Youtube) available for free streaming or free download. Valerio sounded pretty amazing out of the corner of my ear on first listening, and Lowlands of Holland pretty special. Could the rest of the album be as good? Maybe, maybe not. The search goes on for those other tracks. Glad you get a humming buzz on it Willy, you've succeeded where no other answers came from this site. Maybe sometime I'll try asking on Mudcat, or a friend of a friend, of a friend. Meanwhile, back to getting to know these 4 gems/tracks/songs. Expletively good music

I hadn't realised it only plays 4 songs. When voices resonate so well it amazes me.

Chris, I've got SA's 'Full Circle' CD from 1990. I'm sure you've got it, but if not and you'd like it, let me know.

Thanks for the offer Aly, I've sent a PM. As for their 'Matchless' album, I'm now a proud owner of a Spanish LP pressing via eBay, but currently no way of listening to it, let alone converting to mp3s....! One day though Inshallah

Chris, as Billy Bunter used to say (sort of) - ' the CD's in the post'.

er, crikey, yarooh & oh crumbs! Thanks Aly you are truly a Prince - the Cd arrived this morning & am listening to it and enjoying it now. Can't thank you enough!
Norman - that Swan Arcade track on the Square Roots comp (Children's Crusade by some obscure Geordie by the name of Gordon Sumner - I've never heard his version, but it's surely one of the better things he's done) was the first time I heard SA back in 1987. Only 27 years later & I'm getting familiar with what they did, & they're a favourite group. Slow burning fuse, or testimony to the lack of hype & availability of their recordings?

here's another fine SA cover of another fine Sting song
