Bays - Fat Freddy's Drop

This new album is among their best work, I reckon. In spite of the fact that it touches a variety of stylistic bases - a bit of house here, a bit of techno there - it's got a nicely coherent groove. It's named after the studio in which it was created, apparently, and I'd say that it clearly benefits from all the work they have obviously put into it on the production side.

Agreed Rob. I've always liked some things they've done, but they've produced a fair few stoned grooves in search of a tune in their time too.

However, as you rightly point out, they appear to have taken the time and come up with something more consistent on this occasion.

I particularly like "Slings and Arrows", which originally came out as a single last year:

Although I suspect other tracks will grow on me with time (it feels like that kind of album)
