Kind of difficult to keep track with Vieux Farka Toure’s releases – it seems he released his last record only a short time ago, but just came across this really enthusiastic review of his collaboration with Idan Raichel. The whole album streams there too, just listening to it and so far it seems a lovely set for a sunny day like this. Only UK site where I found physical copies is amazon with several reasonably priced offers from third-party sellers.

liking what I'm hearing of this - thanks kk. Much prefer VFT in acoustic mode (or reined-in electric) as here

I've just orderd this at £9.49 from a third party seller via Amazon -Nagiry, who I've used before. iTunes are doing it for £7.99.

Thanks for that, KK.

I found this on eMusic and downloaded it last night. Just listening to it now, and it's very good indeed. Maybe a little noodly in places, but it's more than just wallpaper music. I think I shall be playing this one quite a bit, and I can see it featuring in my favourites of the year.

Thanks for the pointer kk.
