i loved this album before I even heard it: a slab of bright geen vinyl & song titles such as "Dub in the Time of Cholera" & "I'm in Dub with a German Film Star"

The sound is 70s analogue dub with an Ethio twist, Joe Gibbs & the Professionals relocated to Addis, heavy on the horns & rumbling basslines.

Most enjoyable!

Thanks Jamie, would have missed that

but frankly, what is the point of this nonsense “There are only 500 copies available, exclusively on 'Collectors Edition' green heavyweight vinyl. No CD. No Digital. Just vinyl!” ?? I think music this good should be made available for people to hear on whatever format possible, and not hidden away for the ears of some vinyl fetishists only…

Tasty little excerpts, somewhat vinylally crunchy — perhaps slightly easier to access via http://soundcloud.com/patchwork-music/sets — but, yeah, why the limited exclusive vinyl-only? I notice there's a similar Syriana release, A Life In Film, at http://media.realworld.co.uk/detail/624.

Still, I suppose there'll be a boot mp3 download or two fairly soon. But that vinyl is tempting . . . (Then I could boot it!)
