(Suprisingly?) some thumbs up being heard on the web-o-sphere for it. It's called "Seeking Major Tom" and is streaming on Spotify. A couple of mins into the first track and it sounds diabolical. Onto track 2 - Space Oddity, laugh-out-loud entertaining.., several tracks pass, then Silver Machine with Wayne Kramer & Carmine Appice is a much needed shot of energy as Shatner's space-debris head-on-prang of stoner-faux-naif/ginormously-arch-actOR drollery wears wafer mint thin. Oh dear Sheryl Crow follows, worse than ever. A few judicious skips through the remainder & I'm done. It's terrible, I'll give it 2/10 for Space Oddity & Silver Machine

But then again this from '78 is astounding for mostly very very wrong reasons:

Victor Spinetti's character from "A Hard Day's Night' comes to mind:
"But that's wrong, isn't it? Surely that's wrong."
