Quantic & Alice Russell: Look Around The Corner

This album is one of the finds of the year for me, I love it. It's not perfect, but it's very soulful, a bit jazzy, a bit Latin,and it has some great playing from a really good band; it's well recorded, and Alice Russell has a wonderful voice. Set all that against one or two arguably pedestrian moments, and it adds up to one of the best albums I've heard so far this year. I'm surprised it doesn't seem to have attracted more attention, but maybe I've not been looking in the right places.

Have to agree ,a great singer and very good live.
Alice Russell does not seem to release much but 2005 's My Favourite Letters is well worth a listen, a bit more jazzy I also like Pot of Gold which is a double cd of remixes
