CHILLI FRIED BRAZILIAN BEAT SPECIAL @ DARBUCKA

THURSDAY 12TH APRIL 2007

LIVE ON STAGE: CHRIS FRANCK & NINA MIRANDA'S ZEEP

GUEST DJ: RUSS JONES (FUTURE WORLD FUNK)
+ RESIDENT DJ JAMIE RENTON

Chilli Fried is proud to present a live performance from Zeep, the new project from Chris Franck and Nina Miranda, the creative force behind Smoke City – the band whose ‘Underwater Love’ track was a worldwide smash after its inclusion in a Levi’s advert. Chris was also in Palm Pictures’ Brazilian dancefloor act Da Lata. Smoke City combined trip-hop and Brazilian influences whilst Da Lata was more dance oriented. The Zeep sound also has its’ roots in Brazil but it’s vibrancy and quirky mood changes sets it apart from any previous sound and will surely appeal to fans of Zero 7, 4hero and of course Smoke City. Tonight they'll be previewing tracks from their debut album "Chris & Nina present Zeep" released in May on Far Out Records.
Special guest DJ Russ Jones (Future World Funk) is one of the leading DJs on the global beat scene. From his seminal club night Future World Funk working alongside regular DJ partner Cliffy, he has gone on to compile over 12 compilation CDs and his DJ gigs have taken Russ all over the world from Beijing to El Salvador, Moscow, New York, Singapore, Australia, 30,000 people in Gran Canary and all across Europe. Russ also helped to set up the Far Out label.
All this + resident DJ Jamie Renton spinning global beats and roots rhythms

Russ Jones, Smoke City, Da Lata.....aren't these people going to be ashamed cranking up their platters in the presence of such deck-mastery as yourself, Jamie?
