Come and join the Shout Collective for a night of live African sounds, as we welcome Namvula to the stage of Limehouse’s speakeasy style music bar Jamboree. Anglo-Zambian singer-songwriter Namvula Rennie is a breath of fresh air on the UK African music scene, a beautiful and very talented vocalist and composer with a sound that’s light, rootsy and sometimes poetic. With her debut album Shiwezwa (NMR Records) and live shows getting rave responses from all over, this is a chance to catch her with her full band in full swing! http://www.namvula.com/

Plus we’ve got the wonderful Sierra Leonean palm wine guitar of Abdul Tee-Jay. Abdul is a veteran of the UK African music scene and leader of the guitar driven dance band Rokoto. Tonight he’ll be digging into his West African roots for a solo set of the warm, gently rhythmic palm wine style. http://www.africanmusiciansprofiles.com/abdultj.htm

Resident DJs The Shout Collective: AKA Jamie Renton (Chilli Fried/Soulclectica), Joe Cushley (Balling the Jack), Norman Druker, Deb Smith and Aly Prince will be taking the blues back to Africa, out into the big city and anywhere else that feels right for moving and grooving the people. http://www.chillifried.com/the-shout-co ... 62Kld.dpbs
