Award winning flautist, composer, teacher and expert proponent of a vocal ‘gymnastics’ system, Keith Waithe is the founder and leader of the Macusi Players - a world music jazz band that blends rhythms from the Caribbean, South America, Asia and Africa. Keith mixes many sounds from his collection of over 207 flutes, fusing enigmatic musical forms in performance.
They bring their Afro-Caribbean sound to St Ethelburga's this Sat. A fresh fusion of beautiful flute melodies and vocal gymnastics accompanied by Cora, African-Caribbean Drums and soulful voices.
