Dammit, I was just playing "The Journey" on Saturday. Very, very special singer/songwriter. Properly upset now.

Channel 4 News said she had No1 dance hits across 4 decades - I know (and love) the 70s and 80s tunes but can't think of any 90s or naughties hits. Tips please.

Early 90s, 'This Time I Know It's For Real', courtesy of Stock/Aitken/Waterman, and a stunning piece of dancefloor pop.

The first record I remember buying on my own is a 45 of Donna Summer's "Love's Unkind" with the b side called "Autumn Changes", which I still have to this day. It really did start off my record buying, and it reminds me of when I was really young - wanting to be part of that adult world of what I thought was sophistication. Her music reminds me of so many old friends - some of whom are no longer here. I did like her material - "Love is in Control" amongst many others. Sad to hear the news of her death, as well as Chuck Brown's. What is happening?
