Went to a funeral yesterday and can't get Praise My Soul,The King of Heaven out of my brain. I still know all the words to all the hymns learnt as a choirboy a million years ago. Isn't the old church organ a leviathan thing to try to sing along with? It slows everything down to crawling pace, deflects us from the accent and meter of the song, and drowns us all out anyway. You get quickly to the point where you're absolutely desperate for the hymn to end.

Well it's festival season and Will and Alan have reviewed ROTW and Glasters. Today I was at Hampton Court Flower Show and as I went in, the musical Tourettes kicked in as a dreadful punning ear worm. Lionel Hampton Court I thought, but that's a cliche. It got a lot worse - Flymo To The Moon, Stamen Me Baby, Buddlea Spare Me A Dime, Alium Need Is Love. On and on it went. Wish me a speedy recovery.

That's shocking Aly. Bet you remember The Day King Henry Got His Hampton Court.
