Apologies for coming late to the weekend but I was DJing for the purveyors of this The Tube era weekend starter last night: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ryQdiB5tGJA

And from the time of Ready Steady Go http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g6lNun6ifVE Better than the "Jones the Voice" version I reckon.

So Jamie, a better version than Jones the voice - so ''What's New Pussycat?' 'It's Not Unusual' you know, after all 'She's A Lady', not 'Delilah' I know, but a bit of a 'Daughter Of Darkness', you'll agree. 'If I Only Knew' how 'A Boy From Nowhere' became so famous, 'I (Who Have Nothing)' wouldn't waste 'A Minute Of Your Time' with this rubbish, so a metaphorical apologetic 'Kiss' arrrrrrgh...

Aly, your excruciatingly punning references to Tom Jones songs are enough to make me shed a (Young and Mexican Puppet)tear

I went to the doctor and said "Doctor, I can't stop singing The Green, Green Grass of Home" The doctor said "That sounds like Tom Jones syndrome to me".
I said "Is that common?''
He said "It's not unusual.

fRoots' Tony Harrup ended a review of a reggae compilation with "...and as for Horace Andy's version of "Delilah", why? why? why?"

For anyone who, like me, has to face the commute home before they can start their weekend proper: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aDsVJCS2g3Y

And some midnight ska from South Africa: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Z7V78lPmMY

(If Joe Bataan and Reggie Msomi's Hollywood Jazz Band don't get your weekend going, then your weekend's going nowhere)

Three great weekend openers fellas. The track I just tried to put up won't deliver for some reason so I'll leave it for this week.

Us Working Joes have still got the afternoon to get through before we hit the weekend. But Wilmoth Houdini and Mel and Tim bring on the weekend whatever time of the week it is:
