Andre Royo - but the guy they've chosen certainly looks the part.

The makers of the proposed film have hit an entirely predictable "obstacle"

Personally I'd rather just watch Joe Boyd's documentary again, than sit through another musical biopic.

Couldn't agree more, John. Boyd's doc stands up remarkably well, although for my taste, there's a bit too much late Jimi ('69-'70) and not enough early ('66-'68)...

Could it be that the unspeakable Janie Hendrix is actually doing some good despite herself?

Well, even the best biopic can't be as good as footage of the man himself. If you haven't seen the documentary, Dayna, turn the phone off, settle back into a comfortable chair and enjoy!
