Can’t believe I’m the only one amongst us to be hooked on The Voice : finally talent has Britain got. Of course it seems we have been judges on the voice since time began, with Charlie, since the voice was all we had when the tracks first hit the airwaves and still often applies today. Seems with all these great voices around the next challenge will be to find the song writers. When the programme gets picked up by an African network, please let me know.
It's a good format, but I'm disappointed by the soi-disant celeb judges. One is a legend, true enough, but the others are a man responsible for some of the most irritating hits of the 21st century, a woman whose commitment to 'the voice' is belied by the amount of autotune on her records, and a chancer from a jumped-up pub band whose one sizeable hit seemed premised on the questionable notion that we all needed a Sting impersonator.
